The Best Months: November through April
Central Florida's "dry season" runs from mid-October through May. This is when Brooksville weddings are most reliably beautiful.
November – February: Peak season for outdoor weddings. Average daytime highs of 68–75°F, low humidity, and virtually no rain. Evening temperatures drop to 55–65°F — comfortable for outdoor dancing. The downside: venue availability is limited and prices are at their peak. Book 12–18 months in advance for Saturday dates.
March – April: Slightly warmer (highs in the low 80s) but still low humidity and minimal rain risk. An excellent value window — venues often have more availability than November and December at slightly lower prices.
The Shoulder Months: October and May
October: Hurricane season officially ends October 31, but activity drops significantly after mid-October. Early October carries some risk; late October is generally reliable. Beautiful temperatures (low 80s) and some color starting to appear in the landscape.
May: Dry season ends and humidity starts climbing. The first half of May is typically fine; the second half brings afternoon thunderstorm risk. Still manageable with a good rain backup plan.
The Challenging Months: June through September
Florida's wet season peaks during these months. Afternoon thunderstorms are nearly guaranteed — not necessarily long storms, but intense. Daytime humidity regularly reaches 85–95%.
The upside: Venues are significantly cheaper, availability is wide open, and vendors (including DJs) often offer off-season discounts of 10–20%. If you have a solid indoor backup plan and you're budget-conscious, summer can work.
